Micah was cotemporary with Isaiah, and began to prophesy a little after him. What we find here in writing, is an abstract of what he preached, during the reign of three kings. The scope of all is,
To convince Israel and Judah of their sins, and of the judgments of God ready to break in upon them;
To comfort the righteous with promises of mercy and deliverance, especially with an assurance of the coming of the Messiah.
