"windows of heaven"

(Isaiah 54:12) ought rather to be rendered "battlements" (LXX.,
"bulwarks;" R.V., "pinnacles"), or as Gesenius renders it, "notched
battlements, i.e., suns or rays of the sun"= having a radiated
appearance like the sun.
